Computational Rheology Lab

Welcome to the Computational Rheology Group in the Polymer Engineering Department at the University of Minho in GuimarĂ£es!

Our group is dedicated to advancing the understanding of rheology through the application of computational methods and simulations. We use the OpenFOAM software package to perform numerical simulations, allowing us to investigate the flow and deformation of complex fluids and materials.

Our research is focused on a wide range of topics related to computational rheology, including polymer processing, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, and soft matter physics. We work closely with industry partners and academic collaborators to develop new models and tools that address real-world challenges in areas such as materials science, energy, and healthcare.

Our team is composed of highly qualified researchers who are passionate about their work and dedicated to excellence in research and teaching. We strive to create an inclusive and collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation, and we are committed to providing opportunities for professional growth and development for all members of our group.

As part of the Polymer Engineering Department, we are proud to contribute to the strong tradition of research and education in the field of polymer science and engineering at the University of Minho. We collaborate closely with other departments and research groups within the university, as well as with international partners, to foster interdisciplinary research and to address global challenges.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our research, publications, and collaborations. If you are interested in joining our team or in learning more about our work, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
